My favourite memory of Mr Scurfield was the first time I had played chess. I was terrible and I tried to guess the name of a piece I got it completely wrong but it made everyone laugh including Mr Scurfield. I eventually got it and it's something I will have and enjoy for the rest of my life. Thank you Mr Scurfield. Pearl aged 9
