I first met Sam in 1988 when he arrived in Nicaragua to join our tour for peace. He was a stellar member of our troupe and we became firm friends. In 1989 I flew from Hawaii to attend the EJC juggling festival organized by Sam and I got caught with a bit of weed, quite a bit, and got arrested. Sam arrived the next day at the jail having bailed me out by putting up his house as security. That's the kind of friend he was. I'm eternally grateful and will never forget gentleman Sam. Auwe !
