I met Sam through street entertaining when he was with Andy Beattie. always enjoyed his company and his humour. I didn't really know him well but through him I became acquainted with other members of his family, namely Jo who was with the Old Rope Band and Harry who I met through music at Feakle Music Fest Co Clare. I wish I had got to know Sam better but I do have fond memories of our brief acquaintance. He will be Missed . Will Tetley
